I am Devika seeking help to save my 11 Years old daughter Sanjana. She was asymptomatic until Nov 2024, she presented with progressive head ache since Dec 2024. She underwent bilateral frontal decompressive craniotomy with biopsy and abdominal bone flap on 20.01.2025 and after histological examination of the excised specimen she has been diagnosed to have high-grade glioma. CNS WHO Grade 3 which is a high grade aggressive brain tumor. She has been advised adjuvant radiotherapy with modern, image guided techniques for local control.
At present she needs carefully tailored modern image guided radiation therapy to the brain for durable local control. These tumors if untreated. Can have catastrophic effect due to compression and pressure effects on the brainstem and CSF outflow tract, like obstructive hydrocephalus, leading to raised pressure inside the brain and even death due to compromise of automimic functions.

Sanjana is our first child who brought Happiness & Joy in our family but unfortunately she is affected by brain tumor. All our happiness vanished in that instance when we came to know our daughter was suffering from this illness. We have spent countless hours watching our innocent son face helplessly. As a painful reality that no child should ever have to confront.

Now she is undergoing treatment at Apollo Proton Cancer Center, Chennai. She needs to undergo treatment with intensity modulated radiation therapy with image guidance, including planning, will be approximately 6-7 weeks. The total cost of the IMRT treatment is 3.75 lakhs INR.

My husband is working as a load man. He is the sole earner and the only support for my family. His income is barely enough to keep up with our day-to-day needs.
